Divino Pino
Gris
2009 Oregon
$14 for April Hyland Vineyard is one of
Oregon’s oldest and largest vineyards with its first plantings in 1971.
The vineyard is majestically nestled at 600 to 800 feet in the
foothills of the Coast Range within the McMinnville AVA. The south
facing bench upon which Hyland is planted creates its own unique
mesoclimate that keeps the site cooler in the summer and warmer in the
winter allowing for a longer and more uniform ripening conducive to
premium wine grapes. In fact, Hylands grapes have been contributing to
decades of top scoring wines for many benchmark producers. With just
over 120 acres planted on volcanic Jory and Nekia soils the combination
of soil, microclimates, elevation, and some of the oldest and best
plantings consistently put Hyland in the forefront of Oregon’s
vineyards. Our 2009 Oregon Pinot Gris is
predominantly sourced from the Hyland Vineyard in McMinnville
AVA.This wine is fermented in
small lots and fermented in stainless steel
Divino Pino
Noir
2008
Willamette
Valley, Oregon
$17 for April
2008 was made by the month of October. The
amazing cool, dry and sunny weather throughout the month allowed for
the even development of all flavors. The small berry size produced from
the cool spring made for a greater concentration of flavors with modest
tannins and higher acid levels. The 2008 vintage could go down as one
of the best since 1999; producing complex well-balanced wine
at lower alcohol levels that will age very gracefully. Our 2008 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is a
blend sourced from several vineyards throughout the Willamette
Valley. A large portion of the grapes came from our estate vineyard,
Hyland Vineyard in McMinnville AVA.This
wine is fermented in small lots and aged completely in French oak (30%
new).
